Ukraine scales up strikes on targets inside Russia

Ukraine scales up strikes on targets inside Russia

Ukraine is increasing the scale of strikes on legitimate targets within Russian territory. Foreign Minister Andrii Sybihastated that these actions are weakening the aggressor state’s military potential and producing a strategic effect. He shared this on the social media platform X.

According to him, Ukrainian forces are now capable of reaching targets thousands of kilometres deep inside Russia and on a larger scale than before.
“Ukraine continues to scale up its campaign of deep strikes against legitimate targets on Russian territory. Their scope, intensity, and impact continue to grow. These are our own Ukrainian sanctions against Russia’s war machine, and we do not intend to ease them,” Sybiha wrote on X.

The minister emphasised that this campaign is effectively reducing Russia’s capacity for terror already now and limiting its ability to influence Europe and support criminal regimes in other regions.
“Our approach is simple: it is more effective to destroy the sources of terror themselves than to intercept the means of terror later in our skies or stop them on our land,” he noted.

He added that Russian officials themselves acknowledge there are no longer safe places in their country. According to him, this is a direct consequence of the war unleashed by the Kremlin against Ukraine.
“Ordinary Russians must realise that the war their leadership started against Ukraine is returning to where it came from. This is fair, and the scale of these strikes will only increase,” the minister stressed.

Sybiha also noted that the longer Moscow refuses to end the war, the worse the consequences will be for it.

On the night of 21 March, Ukraine’s Defence Forces struck facilities at the Saratov oil refinery in Russia’s Saratov region.
