Ukraine launched a large-scale attack on 12 regions of Russia
Over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have attacked a number of regions in the Russian Federation with hundreds of drones. According to preliminary reports, 12 regions of Russia were targeted.
On the evening of September 19, the Russian Ministry of Defense published a report on repelling Ukraine’s air attack.
The report specified that the attack lasted from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Russian Ministry of Defense makes no secret of the fact that the latest attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces was large-scale—12 regions were struck simultaneously, namely:
Belgorod,
Kursk,
Bryansk,
Kaluga,
Oryol,
Tula,
Ryazan,
Nizhny Novgorod,
Vladimir Oblast;
Moscow Region;
Krasnodar Krai;
occupied Crimea;
the Black Sea.
The Russian Ministry of Defense traditionally does not disclose the exact number of attack drones that Ukraine used during the latest attack.
Nevertheless, the Russian Ministry of Defense acknowledges that hundreds of UAVs were involved.
The Russian ministry claims that its air defense forces were able to shoot down and neutralize 288 Ukrainian drones.
As a reminder, Polish fighter jets intercepted a Russian Il-20 reconnaissance aircraft that was flying over the Baltic Sea and posed a threat to civilian aviation.
Russia, the aggressor state, has declared that it will respond with a crushing blow to any hostile actions against it in the Baltic region. This was stated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova during a weekly briefing.
Russia has strengthened its military presence in the Baltic Sea with the arrival of the modern missile frigate *Admiral Kasatonov*. It is now the second large vessel from the Russian Northern Fleet to be deployed to the region in recent weeks.
