The consequences of the drone attack on the Tavria TPP in Crimea have become known

On the night of March 21, annexed Crimea came under a massive attack by Ukrainian drones. Debris from the downed drones fell on the Tavriyskaya Thermal Power Plant near Simferopol, causing a diesel fuel tank to catch fire.

This was reported by Russian media.

The fire was extinguished five hours after it broke out, according to ASTRA sources in the region’s emergency services.

The Tavriya Thermal Power Plant is a large gas-fired power plant located near Simferopol. It is one of Crimea’s key power plants and provides a significant portion of the peninsula’s energy supply.

Prior to this, specialists from the “Ghosts” special unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine carried out a series of successful operations to destroy the Russian occupiers’ air defense and navigation systems in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

As a reminder, underground agents carried out another sabotage operation in Crimea: partisans disabled a diesel locomotive near Simferopol, disrupting the supply of Russian troops in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

On March 16 and during the night of March 17, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes against key military facilities of the Russian army. Among the targets hit were an anti-aircraft missile system, an area where the “Bastion” coastal missile system was concentrated, a communications hub, and military logistics facilities.
