Ukrainian sources have announced new strikes on Ozon warehouses in Russia

UA NEWS 31 July 2026 15:01
Ukrainian sources have announced new strikes on Ozon warehouses in Russia

On the morning of July 31, drones attacked a warehouse complex in Zelenodolsk (Tatarstan, Russian Federation), where the logistics facilities of the Ozon and Wildberries marketplaces are located. Following this, a number of Ukrainian sources reported that strikes on Ozon’s warehouses might continue.

Ozon confirmed that warehouse employees were evacuated during the air raid alert.

According to the company, the building and goods were not damaged, and employees returned to work once the danger had passed.

There were also reports of an attack on a nearby Wildberries warehouse. Local authorities stated that air defense forces were deployed.

As Reuters notes, Ozon and Wildberries logistics complexes are located close to one another in many Russian cities, so in some cases it is difficult to determine which facility was the primary target of the attack.

Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces, posted the following message after the attack:

“Ozone levels are reaching critical levels amid a poor wild berry harvest.”

The Ukrainian Telegram channels Ukraine Context and “Operational Armed Forces of Ukraine” linked this post to possible strikes on Ozon’s logistics centers. At the same time, no official confirmation regarding further attacks has been released.

Following previous drone attacks on Wildberries’ logistics centers, the company amended its terms of service, recognizing drone strikes as force majeure events.

According to Russian media reports, similar provisions subsequently appeared in the documents of Ozon and “Yandex Market.”

It was also reported that on July 28, Ozon ordered the installation of fire-resistant glass fiber structures on the roofs of 44 of its facilities in various regions of Russia.

According to Ukrainian and Russian sources, reports also emerged over the past 24 hours regarding:

  • a fire at a Wildberries warehouse in Volgograd;
  • an attack on Lukoil’s Volgograd oil refinery;
  • a fire at an oil refinery in Nizhnekamsk;
  • an attack on the Caspian Flotilla’s base in Kaspiysk;
  • reports of explosions and air defense activity in several regions of Russia.

Some Ukrainian sources suggest that the attacks on Russian logistics centers may be a response to Russian strikes on Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure, particularly on “Nova Poshta” facilities. At the same time, the Ukrainian authorities have not yet officially confirmed such a connection.

Video footage of the attack was released by Ukrainian monitoring outlets.

Earlier, engineer Shtilerman stated that Ukraine should increase pressure on the Russian marketplaces Wildberries and Ozon. In his opinion, this could deal a serious blow to Russia’s financial system.
