Ukrainian soldiers have expanded their area of control in the Kupiansk region
Soldiers of the 23rd Assault Regiment of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine “Charter” continue to advance in the Kupiansk direction. During combat operations, Ukrainian troops cleared new areas of territory between Dvorichna and Zapadny in the Kharkiv region.
The unit noted that as a result of the operation, they managed to liberate an additional 4 km² of territory. Ukrainian defenders are continuing their offensive operations and consolidating their gains in the area.
In one of the sectors, R.U.G. servicemen worked alongside fighters from the 35th Separate Marine Brigade.
In total, the operation resulted in the liberation of an additional 4 km² of Ukrainian territory.
Previously, soldiers from the 23rd Assault Regiment of the R.U.G. had already liberated 9.5 km² of territory in this area. Thus, the total area of territory liberated here is 13.5 km².
Footage from UAVs and helmet-mounted cameras shows the assault groups in action, the advance of Ukrainian troops, and the mopping-up of enemy positions.
The 23rd Assault Regiment of the R.U.G. is part of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, “Charter.” “Charter” has been defending the Kharkiv region since 2022. The regiment’s personnel consist of Ukrainians and foreign nationals and carry out tasks involving assault operations, aerial reconnaissance, and the use of unmanned aerial systems and ground-based robotic systems.
R.U.G. fighters participated in the liberation of territories north of Kupiansk, the mop-up operations in Kupiansk itself, and continue combat operations in the Kupiansk sector.

National Guard troops cleared another 2 km² of forest near Dvorichna.
On the night of August 30, the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces struck several key Russian military targets at the “Yeysk” and “Millerovo” airfields. Among the targets were “Pantsir-S1” systems, several radar stations, and warehouses storing aviation weapons and ammunition.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes on key Russian military facilities. Specifically, Ukrainian forces struck a radar station, a “Pantsir-S1” anti-aircraft missile and gun system, and several Russian command posts.
