The Ministry of Defense has revealed the objective of the drone strikes on Moscow and Russia's rear areas
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has officially stated that the leadership of the aggressor country will only begin to seriously consider ending the war once life in major Russian cities becomes dangerous.
Specifically, this refers to Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Krasnodar, where residents are to feel the consequences of the aggression they initiated.
The ministry emphasized that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been systematically working for a long time to “return the war to where it came from.”
This strategic objective aims to deprive Russians of the illusion of security in their rear regions.
Recently, the results of this work have become increasingly noticeable to the Russian population.
Regular drone attacks on Moscow have been recorded, as well as strikes on strategic targets in the Leningrad region, including port infrastructure, and constant raids on Sochi.
“There is one simple understanding—Russia will begin to consider ending the war when it becomes dangerous and uncomfortable for the monsters in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar, and other major cities to live,” the Defense Ministry stated.
The Ministry of Defense also emphasized that the current operations are only the beginning of a large-scale process.
At present, Ukrainian defenders are merely “testing the waters,” identifying weaknesses in the enemy’s air defense and logistics systems.
The goal of these actions is not only to exert psychological pressure but also to physically destroy the enemy’s military capabilities.
Strikes on oil refineries and oil terminals have already caused disruptions in fuel supplies to the occupying army.
“The defense forces will make everyone who brought the war pay,” the ministry assured.
As a reminder, drones attacked a strategic oil terminal in the Leningrad region.
Also, an oil refinery in Saratov has been burning for a second day following a drone attack.
