A Russian attack caused a fire in the Danube Biosphere Reserve

A well-known nature reserve came under fire during a nighttime attack by Russian forces on the Odesa region. As a result of the shelling on the night of April 17, a fire broke out within the Danube Biosphere Reserve.

This was reported with reference to Oleg Kipper, head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, on Telegram.

According to him, the region again came under a massive attack by Russian drones overnight. The shelling damaged port, transportation, and residential infrastructure.

"Fires broke out at several locations, including within the Danube Biosphere Reserve," Kipper said.

He noted that all fires have already been extinguished by rescue workers.

Administrative buildings, equipment, and containers were also damaged. In addition, at least six private residential buildings were hit.

There were no casualties or injuries. Cleanup efforts are currently underway.

As a result of the Russian military’s nighttime attack on Kyiv, the number of casualties has risen to 62. Four people were killed.

In the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv, law enforcement officers discovered the warhead of a Russian Iskander-K missile. A controlled destruction of the munition is planned at the site.

On the night of April 15, three people were injured in Dnipro and the surrounding region as a result of Russian drone strikes, and damage to civilian infrastructure was reported.
