Russia announced a pause in negotiations with Ukraine and new strikes on Kyiv

Russia announced a pause in negotiations with Ukraine and new strikes on Kyiv

Negotiations to end Russia’s war against Ukraine are currently on hold due to a lack of new ideas. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, press secretary for Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

According to the Kremlin representative, the negotiation process has effectively stalled because the parties have no new proposals.

“Regarding peace talks: yes, this issue is currently in a state of deep hiatus; there are no new ideas,” Peskov said.

He also stated that Ukraine allegedly knows Russia’s demands, but Moscow claims that Kyiv does not want to discuss them in a peaceful setting.

Peskov also confirmed that the Russian military will continue combat operations against Ukraine.

“We are continuing our ‘special military operation,’ and the fact that we are advancing on the front lines is, in fact, obvious. Experts fully understand what this dynamic means and what consequences it will ultimately have for the ‘Kyiv regime,’” the Kremlin spokesperson said.

At the same time, Peskov commented separately on Russian strikes on Kyiv, stating that they are allegedly systematic and targeted.

“Strikes on Kyiv are continuing; they are systematic and targeted. We are continuing to destroy the military and surrounding infrastructure of the ‘Kyiv regime.’ Our military knows what they are doing and how they are doing it,” Peskov said.

Thus, the Kremlin is simultaneously announcing a pause in the diplomatic process and the continuation of hostilities and strikes against Ukraine.

This is being reported by Russian media.

Previously, the Kremlin commented on the possibility of holding the next round of talks between Russia, the U.S., and Ukraine in September. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated that, at this time, the Russian side has no information regarding the possible dates for a new meeting between representatives of the three countries.

As a reminder, following drone strikes, Ozon’s stock price fell by nearly 30%.

On the night of August 24, drones attacked several large logistics facilities belonging to the Ozon marketplace in southern Russia. The strikes caused fires, and there are reports of casualties.

The drones attacked Ozon’s logistics centers in two regions of the Russian Federation simultaneously.

Drones also struck Krasnodar, causing a fire at a warehouse.
