Russian Army Colonel Andriy Krestyansky was killed in Ukraine

A high-ranking Russian officer—Colonel Andriy Krestyansky—was killed in Ukraine. He served as a senior instructor and inspector at the Training Center for Command Staff of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Russian Federation has confirmed the officer’s death: the website of the Marksovsky Municipal District in the Saratov Region reported that he died while performing his military duties and that his funeral is scheduled for September 9. The exact date and place of his death have not been disclosed, but it is noted that the officer may have been killed as a result of a strike on a command post in occupied Donetsk.

This was reported by the KIU OSINT project.

Following the missile strike on Donetsk on August 26, news emerged of the burial of another Russian lieutenant colonel associated with the Russian Armed Forces’ 41st Army. This is already the third officer of this rank whose death has been reported following the attack.

Lieutenant Colonel Andriy Moiseenko was killed during a Ukrainian Armed Forces strike on Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied city of Donetsk. According to the KIU OSINT project, he was a senior officer in the Operations Directorate of the headquarters of Russia’s 41st Guards Combined Arms Army.
