Man killed in Russian shelling in Zaporizhzhia region

In the Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia region, Russian occupying forces carried out an artillery strike that killed a local resident.
This was reported by the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov.

According to him, the attack targeted the village of Preobrazhenka, where artillery fire hit a private house. The strike caused a fire, which complicated rescue efforts and the safe evacuation of residents.

As a result of the shelling, a 58-year-old man was killed. Further details regarding possible casualties are still being clarified. Local authorities stress that attacks on civilian infrastructure during the winter period pose an additional threat to life and health, especially for elderly people and those with limited mobility.

On the night of 1 February, Russian forces carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, using 90 drones, around 60 of which were Shahed-type attack UAVs.

In Dnipro, two people — a woman and a man — were killed as a result of a strike by an enemy drone.
