Explosion in Melitopol: intelligence recorded casualties among Russian military personnel
In temporarily occupied Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia region, an explosion occurred on December 20, 2025, as a result of which at least four Russian soldiers were killed and a military “Ural” truck was damaged.
This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The incident took place in an industrial zone area, where Russian occupiers were using the territory as an ammunition depot. A video from the scene was released by the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
“The local industrial zone is used by units of the Russian occupation forces as ammunition storage facilities and as a base for their military equipment,” the statement said.
At the time of the explosion, Russian military personnel were loading equipment, which created favorable conditions for the attack. This is not the first such incident in Melitopol where Ukrainian intelligence has struck occupation forces: previously, the elimination of several Russian drone operators was reported.
At the moment of maximum concentration of personnel near the vehicle, an explosion occurred.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, at least four Russian soldiers sustained severe injuries as a result. The “Ural” truck itself was also damaged.
In addition, intelligence officers published a video from the scene of the incident in occupied Melitopol.
Operations to destroy military formations in occupied areas indicate the growing activity of Ukrainian forces in response to aggression.
