Since the start of the day, Russian forces have launched 91 attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, focusing their main efforts on the Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Kostiantynivka sectors.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Border settlements in the Sumy region, including Budky, Iskryskivshchyna, Ryzhivka, Vovkivka, Bachivsk, Hirky, Esman, and others, also came under enemy fire.
One combat engagement was recorded in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk sectors. At the same time, Ukrainian forces are achieving certain tactical successes there.
In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy carried out 17 attacks; some of the battles are ongoing. In the Kupiansky direction, six attempted offensives were recorded, two of which are still ongoing.
The most intense fighting is taking place in the Lyman sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 15 attacks, eight of which are still ongoing.
Six assaults were recorded in the Sloviansk direction, and two attacks in the Kramatorsk direction.
In the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors, the enemy carried out 16 attacks each, with some of the fighting still ongoing.
Combat operations are also taking place in the Oleksandrivka, Huliaipole, and Orikhiv sectors. No assaults have been recorded in the Prydniprovsk sector.
Ukrainian defense forces continue to repel the offensive and wear down the enemy along the entire front line.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated another 1,520 invaders over the past 24 hours.
On March 18, 215 combat engagements took place on the front between the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian invaders. In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 49 attacks, during which Ukrainian troops eliminated over 160 occupiers.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces regained their positions near Berezove in the Dnipropetrovsk region and pushed back Russian troops.
