Video: In Kharkiv region, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed a Russian drone base
Ukrainian defenders in the north of Kharkiv region eliminated a base of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles after tracking an enemy drone with a thermal imager to the location where it landed at night.
This was reported by soldiers of the 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade.
After detecting the aircraft, Ukrainian operators struck the FPV drone launch point and the positions of Russian UAVs using heavy bomber-type drones. The strikes continued the next day during daylight hours.
First, Ukrainian defenders cut off power to the site, depriving the remaining Russian drone operators of communication. After that, the final shelter at the position was destroyed, effectively eliminating the Russian UAV launch base in this section of the front.
Earlier, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reported that on the Hulyaipilske axis, a Russian sabotage group disguised as civilians attempted to infiltrate the rear of Ukrainian defenders but was detected and destroyed.
