Video: Ukrainian armed forces destroy Russian assault group on the Zaporizhzhia axis
Attempts by Russian occupying forces to advance on the Zaporizhzhia axis are ending in heavy losses for their assault units.
Drone footage shows the aftermath of a failed enemy offensive in a wooded area on the Huliaipole axis.
According to the unit involved:
- Enemy losses: At least four Russian soldiers were eliminated and left on the battlefield.
- Ukrainian assault unit actions: The 1st Assault Battalion “Black Swan” of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment detected the enemy movement in time and stopped the advance.
- Situation control: Any attempts by the enemy to concentrate forces in forest belts are promptly thwarted thanks to aerial reconnaissance and artillery support.
“Destroyed Russian assault group on the Huliaipole axis through the UAV lens. And this will happen to every one of them,” the battalion stated.
The actions of Ukrainian units on the southern front lines demonstrate a high level of coordination between reconnaissance and infantry.
Russian forces continue to use the so-called “blocking detachment” tactic, killing their own soldiers for attempting to save their lives or withdraw from combat.
