Video: Propagandist Prilepin acknowledged the shortage of Russian men and called for the annexation of new republics

Russian propagandist Zakhar Prilepin claimed that Russia allegedly needs to seize new territories, in particular due to a shortage of manpower for the war against Ukraine.

Prilepin openly advocated for the restoration of the Russian Empire and the reintegration of other territories of the former empire and the USSR into the Russian Federation.

At the same time, he effectively acknowledged the Russian army’s difficulties in replenishing its ranks. According to him, Russia is “running out of Russian men,” and new republics are needed to secure additional “military and labor forces.”

“We don’t even have enough people left to confront Ukraine. We’re running out of Russian men,” the propagandist stated.

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has not yet made a decision regarding his participation in the G20 summit and, accordingly, regarding a meeting with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

As a reminder, Zelenskyy effectively proposed to the Kremlin leader that they hold a face-to-face meeting during the G20 summit in December 2026.

U.S. President Donald Trump has not yet decided whether to invite Russia to the G20 summit, which will take place on December 14–15, 2026, in Miami.
