Russian forces in the Dnipro region are facing a severe fuel shortage – Voloshin

In the Dnipro sector, Russian occupation forces are facing a critical shortage of fuel and lubricants. Due to constant fire control by the Ukrainian Defense Forces, the enemy is forced to adjust its logistics and seek alternative ways to resupply its units.

According to Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, the fuel supply situation for Russian troops in the Dnipro region remains extremely difficult.

“Currently, enemy units stationed in the Dnipro region are facing a total shortage of fuel and lubricants,” Voloshin stated.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, in one of the Russian units, soldiers were forced to raise funds on their own to purchase a metric ton of fuel. In addition, an unofficial market for fuel and lubricants has emerged among the occupiers, where the cost of one liter of fuel, according to the spokesperson, reaches about 150 hryvnias when converted to Ukrainian currency.

Voloshin also reported that the Russian command is attempting to resupply units stationed on the Kinburn Spit using coastal defense vessels. The reason for this is that the Ukrainian military is keeping the main logistics routes under heavy fire control, which significantly complicates the supply of personnel and material resources.

According to the spokesperson, the situation remains particularly difficult for units of the Russian Federation’s 337th Regiment, which are deployed on the Kinburn Spit.

In addition, the occupiers are using the Armiansk–Krasnoperekopsk highway—one of the key routes connecting to the temporarily occupied Crimea—with decreasing frequency. As Voloshin explained, mobile fire groups are deployed along this highway almost every 100–150 meters, and travel on the road is permitted only according to pre-approved schedules.

Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces, made this announcement during a national telethon, according to Ukrinform

As a reminder, Russian troops are rotating their offensive forces in southern Ukraine, which may indicate an intention to intensify combat operations during the summer.

Amid the deepening fuel crisis in Russia, Russian drivers have begun reporting a sharp decline in gasoline quality. A video is circulating on social media in which a car owner claims that he was sold diluted fuel at a gas station.
