As a result of the nighttime attack, Kherson was left without power for several days
Following a Russian attack overnight, Kherson remains without power due to damage to critical infrastructure. It will take several days to fully restore power.
This was reported on August 6 by Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration. According to him, utility workers are already working to repair the damage caused by the enemy strike.
“We will do everything possible to fully restore power within a few days,” Prokudin said.
The head of the Regional Military Administration also urged city residents not to overload the grid or turn on energy-intensive appliances simultaneously once power is restored.
At the same time, Kherson residents who need to charge their cell phones, contact family members, or receive other assistance are advised to turn to the “Points of Resilience.”
The head of the Kherson Regional State Administration announced this on Telegram.
As a reminder, due to Russian shelling of energy infrastructure, some consumers in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions remain temporarily without power. The Ministry of Energy reported this as of the morning of August 6.
