On the night of December 6, Russian forces attacked DTEK thermal power plants in various regions of Ukraine, seriously damaging equipment, according to DTEK.

“Russia has once again attacked DTEK thermal power plants in different regions of Ukraine. Equipment was seriously damaged. We are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling,” the company said.

DTEK noted that this was the sixth attack on the company’s TPPs in the past two months. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK thermal power plants have been attacked more than 210 times.

On the night of December 6, Russian forces carried out a massive missile and drone strike on energy infrastructure across several regions.

During the combined attack, explosions were heard in Kyiv. Local authorities reported the activation of air defenses, and the Air Force reported Kinzhal and ballistic missiles flying toward the capital.
