Entry into Ukraine in the Odesa region is restricted due to Russian shelling
Access to several checkpoints on the Ukraine–Moldova border, including the Odessa–Reni route, has been temporarily suspended. The disruption was caused by a Russian strike on infrastructure near the village of Mayaky.
According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the restrictions affect checkpoints including: Palanka – Mayaky – Udobne, Reni – Dzhurdzhuleshti, Tabaki – Myrne, Vynohradiivka – Vulkaneshti, Starokozache – Tudora, Novi Troyany – Chadir-Lunga, Orlivka – Isakcha.
They also impact the routes through Dolynske, Zaliznychne, Lisne, Serpneve, Maloyaroslavets, and Hromadian. Travelers entering Ukraine toward Odesa are being informed of the restrictions and redirected to alternative routes. Coordination with the Moldovan border police has been strengthened.
Ukrainians are advised to use checkpoints in Vinnytsia region, as well as “Mamaliga” and “Sokyryany” in the Chernivtsi region. At the Mohyliv-Podilskyi checkpoint on the Moldova border, an increase in traffic has already been noted.
Checkpoints along the Odessa–Reni route are operational, but movement toward Odesa and the Moldova border is complicated due to a damaged bridge near Mayaky.
