Over the past four days, Russia has launched nearly 1,500 drones at Ukraine — Zelenskyy

Zelenskyy reported that over the past four days, Russia has launched nearly 1,500 drones at Ukraine. About 800 of them are jet-powered drones, which are the most difficult to shoot down.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made
this announcement in an evening address.

According to him, four companies have already developed interceptor drones to counter such unmanned aerial vehicles. Zelenskyy added that they aim to increase the interception rate to over 90% by fall.

“The most difficult task is shooting down jet-powered drones. Right now, our combat aircraft are primarily responsible for defending against them. We are working to ensure we have the necessary interceptors. Four companies have developed the necessary interceptor drones, and one company has the most effective technology. Right now, both the Ministry of Defense and the military must do everything possible to ensure we have as many capabilities as possible to shoot down every type of Russian drone,” Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian side is also preparing for new talks with representatives of the Trump administration. The president announced that more details would follow tomorrow.

As a reminder, by the evening of August 30, eight air raid alerts had already been issued in Kyiv within a single day. The penultimate one lasted 33 minutes.

As a result of the Russian attack on Sunday, August 30, a warehouse belonging to the French retail chain Auchan in Boryspil, Kyiv Oblast, was damaged.

During yet another Russian attack on Ukraine, one of the aircraft was detected in Moldovan airspace. It flew over the Transnistria region.
