Zelenskyy urges relatives of Russian officials to “go back to Russia”

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued a sharp statement addressed to Russian elites whose families continue to live luxurious lives in the West.

He called for a full expansion of sanctions pressure, particularly on Russia’s energy sector, as well as for the forced return of the aggressors’ relatives to their homeland.

The head of state expressed gratitude for the firm position of the American side regarding restrictions against the aggressor’s largest oil companies. Zelenskyy stressed that the next logical step should be the blocking of Russia’s nuclear industry.

He underlined: “The President of the United States can impose sanctions on their entire energy sector, including nuclear energy. And this would be a serious signal to the Europeans.”

Volodymyr Zelenskyy also made an emotional appeal to representatives of the Russian elite who own substantial property abroad. He noted that these individuals respect neither democratic values nor the rules of the countries in which they reside.

“Go back to Russia. Go home. You respect no one in the United States. You do not respect the rules. You do not respect democracy. You do not respect Ukraine or Europe. Go home,” the head of state emphasised during his address.

It should be recalled that Zelenskyy previously outlined three steps for Donald Trump to stop the war.
