Zelenskyy urged Ukrainians not to ignore air raid sirens

Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged citizens to pay close attention to air raid sirens and follow safety guidelines. According to him, information about possible attacks remains relevant.

The Ukrainian leader made this statement in his evening address on May 30.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine’s partners have spoken with Russia regarding the possibility of a massive attack. However, there is no confidence that anyone in Moscow will change their mind.

“It is important to remain vigilant against any threat and air raid sirens at this time. Intelligence reports regarding the possibility of a massive strike remain relevant. We know that our partners have discussed this with the Russians. There is no faith that anyone there in Moscow will come to their senses. Be sure to protect your lives—respond to dangers,” the president said.

He noted that Ukraine’s air defense forces, mobile fire groups, and combat aviation are on standby “as much as possible, given the supply situation.”

The president also reported that Ukraine is shooting down over 90% of “Shaheds,” and regarding missiles, Kyiv is working on this with its partners.

“The percentage of ‘Shaheds’ shot down by our soldiers is consistently above 90—it’s 90–93%. Regarding cruise missiles and ballistic missiles: we are working with all partners to secure new contributions to the PURL program, and we are seeking other ways to obtain missiles. I thank everyone who is helping,” he concluded.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, a hit on a business center was recorded following a massive nighttime attack by the Russian Federation. Preliminary reports indicate that people may be trapped inside the shelter.

As a result of Russia’s massive missile and drone attack on Kyiv, the shockwave damaged the ground-level lobby of the Lukyanivska metro station.

On the night of May 24, Russian forces carried out a massive combined attack on Kyiv, using ballistic missiles and strike drones. All districts of the capital came under fire.
