Video emerges showing the aftermath of strikes on the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk
A video has appeared online showing the consequences of a Russian ballistic strike on the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, which occurred on Friday, December 12.
This was reported by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The footage shows damaged vessels, a fire on board one of them, and rescue services working in the port area. Smoke can be seen rising near the docks, while special equipment is attempting to contain the blaze.
According to Ukrainian authorities, the strike targeted civilian logistics and commercial shipping facilities. In the port of Chornomorsk, a ferry flying the Turkish flag was damaged; preliminary reports indicate that the crew was unharmed.
At the same time, a fire broke out on another ship as a result of the strike, which had to be extinguished by firefighting units.
In Odesa port, fragments injured an employee of a private company, who is receiving medical assistance. Damage was also recorded to a container handler used for cargo operations.
The videos show scattered debris and damaged elements of port infrastructure.
As a reminder, following the explosions on the vessel in Odesa port, one person was injured.
President Volodymyr Zelensky also commented on the latest Russian missile strike in the Odesa region, noting that last night the enemy also attacked the city’s energy infrastructure.
