Zelensky on the strike in Odesa region: Russia continues a war to destroy normal life in Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelensky commented on another Russian missile strike in the Odesa region, noting that last night the enemy also attacked Odesa’s energy infrastructure.
He said that he had previously discussed the situation in the city with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Zelensky emphasized that today’s strike, like many other Russian attacks, had no military purpose. A civilian vessel in the port of Chornomorsk was damaged, which, according to the president, demonstrates Russia’s disregard for any diplomatic opportunities and its desire to destroy normal life in Ukraine.

The head of state stressed that the world must clearly understand who is prolonging the war and who seeks to end it peacefully; who is targeting civilians with ballistic strikes, and who strikes only military targets that affect Russian military logistics. Zelensky thanked everyone who spreads truthful information and does not allow Russian propaganda to influence political decisions.

The president reported that everything necessary is being done in Odesa and Chornomorsk to protect civilians. Security measures are also being strengthened in Kharkiv, Sumy, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions. He added that ending Russia’s desire to wage war depends on how the world responds to its actions.

Zelensky thanked all those who support Ukraine and continue to pressure Russia to achieve peace.
