The Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated the world champion in Russian tank biathlon
Ukrainian troops killed Russian serviceman Ivan Oseev, who was a world champion in tank biathlon. He is now the fifth Russian winner of this propaganda competition to be killed by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Oseev represented Russia in international tank biathlon competitions and won the tournament. After the start of the full-scale war, he joined the Russian occupation forces.
His elimination marked yet another loss among Russian tank biathlon participants and winners, whom the Russian Federation had actively used to demonstrate its military might.
Ivan Oseev was a Russian and world champion in tank biathlon. In 2019, he became champion at the International Army Games. Oseev set a world speed record by accelerating his tank to 84 kilometers per hour.
From the very first days of Russia’s criminal war against Ukraine, Guard Sergeant Oseev participated as a tank commander and soon became the crew commander.
In July 2026, the invader Ivan Oseev was killed by Ukrainian defenders. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
