The Ukrainian Armed Forces are regaining control in the Oleksandrivka area and repelling the Russian advance

In the Oleksandrivka sector, at the junction of Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions, Ukrainian forces are preventing Russian occupation forces from consolidating their positions and advancing, while also seizing the tactical initiative.

This was reported by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesperson for the Southern Defense Forces of Ukraine, in a comment to Channel 24.

According to him, Ukrainian defenders are achieving positive results on this section of the front.

“There is good news: we are regaining control over certain areas, territories, and settlements, and conducting ‘mop-up operations,’” Voloshin noted.

He added that Ukrainian forces have pushed back the occupiers near the village of Solodke and are continuing their counterattacks.

Meanwhile, in the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian infantry groups are attempting to infiltrate the settlements of Novoyakovlivka and Lukyanivka, but Ukrainian troops are detecting and destroying these units.

In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy is conducting assault operations in the areas of the villages of Charivne, Myrne, and Zaliznychne, and is also attempting to dislodge Ukrainian forces from the town of Huliaipole.

On the night of March 21, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck facilities at the Saratov Oil Refinery in the Saratov region of the Russian Federation.

Earlier, about ten powerful explosions were heard over the Russian cities of Saratov and Engels.

As a reminder, powerful explosions were heard at the Belbek airfield in Crimea.

Drones also attacked the Ilsk Oil Refinery and Sevastopol.
