Ukrainian Armed Forces strike oil depot and Russian logistics warehouse

On the night of 7 January, units of the Defence Forces of Ukraine carried out a strike on the Oskolneftesnab oil depot near the settlement of Kotel in Russia’s Belgorod region, which was used to supply fuel to the occupying army.

As a result of the strike, a large-scale fire broke out in the storage tanks, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Telegram.

In addition, a logistics and material supply warehouse of a unit of the invaders’ 20th Motor Rifle Division was hit in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region. The extent of the damage in both cases is being clarified.

It was also recorded that, as a result of previous strikes, two vertical RVS-5000 tanks were damaged at the Temp strategic reserve oil depot in Russia’s Yaroslavl region.

In the city of Neya, Kostroma region, loud explosions occurred on the territory of the 100th arsenal of the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) of the Russian Ministry of Defence. Explosions were heard throughout the night, and the evacuation of residents began.

On the night of 6 January, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence, 129 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed over Russian territory. The largest numbers were shot down over Bryansk (29), Belgorod (13) and Yaroslavl (13) regions.

Attacks by Ukrainian drones on Moscow have become a daily occurrence.
