CNN: Texas Republican candidate called for public executions of Democrats — The Guardian
Republican Party candidate Bo French, who is running for a seat on the Texas Railroad Commission in the United States, posted calls on social media for the public executions of political opponents. This is stated in a CNN KFile investigation reported by The Guardian.
Posts about Obama and Schiff
According to CNN KFile, in May 2020, an X account named rwbofrench, which likely belonged to French, called on Donald Trump to “hang” officials from Barack Obama’s administration. The account is now suspended.
In the post, the author claimed that the death penalty for Obama administration officials would be the only way to “pull the plug from the drain.” In another message, he wrote that the punishment for treason used to be death, including for a former president. According to The Guardian, the reason for the account’s suspension is unknown.

Other calls and the party’s reaction
In February 2025, French used his current account, which had a different name at the time, to publish a post calling for the public executions of officials whom, he said, Elon Musk’s DOGE team had exposed. The message was later deleted, but it is unclear whether French himself or someone from his team did so.
In another post, he also called for the public execution of Democratic Senator Adam Schiff, who chaired the House committee that released a report on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
French was previously criticized by Republican Party representatives over a racist social media post. In particular, Texas Senator John Cornyn said that he would not support him in the election. The Guardian contacted French’s campaign for comment.
