Yemeni government forces report advances on several fronts — Jerusalem Post
In Yemen, government forces reported territorial gains in the provinces of Hodeidah, Taiz and Al-Jawf amid intensified fighting with the Houthis. According to the Jerusalem Post, regional media reported that government troops had established full control over the Hays district in Hodeidah province and launched an operation in the neighboring Al-Jarahi district.

Syria’s SANA agency, citing Yemen’s Saba agency and a military source, reported that government forces had taken control of the remaining rural areas of Hays. The city of Hays, according to these reports, was already under government control. The military also reported Houthi losses but did not specify their number.
Clashes continued along the front line in Taiz. According to SANA, government forces captured several positions in the Haifan direction, while the Houthis fired three ballistic missiles at the city of Taiz. The agency also reported that the previous day, a Houthi missile struck a gathering place for civilians in Taiz province: four people were killed and another nine were injured.

Reports of fighting near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait
Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Majed al-Nuzaili said that government troops had struck Houthi fighters in Al-Jawf and shot down several of their drones on other sections of the front, including one east of Al-Hazm.
Al-Arabiya, citing a military source, reported that government forces had captured Jabal al-Qura mountain in the Al-Qadha area west of Taiz. At the same time, according to the channel, fighting continued on the Al-Khanaya hills and near Mount Ghubari.
According to Al-Arabiya, the Houthis attempted to advance toward government-controlled areas near the strategic Bab el-Mandeb Strait, located at the entrance to the Red Sea. Yemeni forces said they repelled these attacks. The fighting is also taking place amid a Houthi offensive said to be aimed at cutting off access to the coastal city of Mocha.
