On the morning of August 14, the Finnish Armed Forces temporarily restricted air and maritime traffic in the eastern part of the Gulf of Finland. The reason was the possible presence of drones.

The restrictions were in place for several hours as a precautionary measure. According to the Finnish military, no drones entered the country’s airspace.

The restrictions were imposed at 4:00 a.m. The airspace restrictions were lifted at 7:27 a.m., and the maritime restrictions were lifted at 7:43 a.m., the Finnish Defense Forces reported.

This was a precautionary measure in response to the possible appearance of drones.
