Finland has announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine worth €290 million
Finland has decided to provide Ukraine with its 34th military aid package, totaling 290 million euros. The decision was approved on Tuesday, September 15.
According to him, the new package includes weapons and other equipment that Ukraine urgently requested as it prepares for a difficult winter.
“Ukraine has been fighting a defensive war for five years now. We support Ukraine because it is the morally right thing to do. This is about the security of all of Europe, and therefore Finland as well,” Stubb wrote.
The new package, worth €290 million, is the 34th since the start of the full-scale war.
The President of Finland emphasized that his country’s support for Ukraine is linked not only to helping the Ukrainian people but also to the security of all of Europe and Finland itself.
Stubb also noted that Ukraine has been defending itself for five years now, and the need for military aid remains urgent.

In western Germany, 39% of those surveyed consider arms deliveries to Ukraine excessive, while in the east of the country, 54% of respondents share this view.
As a reminder, 44.8% of Polish citizens believe that the military aid provided to Ukraine after the start of the full-scale Russian invasion was too extensive.
Earlier, Polish Presidential Spokesperson Rafał Leskiewicz criticized the decision by Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz to declassify information about the military aid Poland provided to Ukraine between 2022 and 2026. He stated that such data should not be made public.
As a reminder, there was outrage in Poland over the alleged secret transfer of scarce Patriot missiles to Ukraine.
The day before, Kosiniak-Kamysz announced that, following consultations with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he had ordered the declassification of information regarding all Polish military supplies to Ukraine from 2022 to 2026. He also ordered the Military Counterintelligence Service to identify those involved in the possible disclosure of state secrets.
