The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has called for the Yabloko party to be disqualified from the election
Russia’s Central Election Commission considers the allegations against the Yabloko party regarding a possible violation of intellectual property law to be well-founded. A representative of the CEC stated in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation that these violations could serve as grounds for excluding the party from the State Duma elections.
The Rodina party filed a lawsuit seeking to revoke Yabloko’s registration. In addition to the copyright claims, the CEC representative cited foreign funding of individuals on the party’s federal list, as identified by Rosfinmonitoring, as well as foreign transfers to some of its contractors.
The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office also advocated for Yabloko’s removal from the election, supporting the Central Election Commission’s arguments.
