Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna discusses Ukraine with Trump Jr.

Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that Ukraine was actively discussed during a dinner with Donald Trump Jr. in Tallinn. As ERR News reports, the dinner took place at the invitation of the American side.

Security, economy and Ukraine

According to Tsahkna, he had an opportunity to speak at length with Trump Jr. about important issues. The topics of the conversation included security and economic policy, as well as Ukraine. The minister did not disclose details of the discussion of the Ukrainian issue.

Tsahkna described Trump Jr. as a person who is not an active politician but has significant influence. In his opinion, contacts with people close to the U.S. presidential administration may be useful in the future.

A separate dinner

The minister stressed that the dinner, attended by 13 people, was separate from another event reported by Delfi. According to him, neither the gambling business nor any other commercial activity was discussed at the table.

Tsahkna also said that on that day he had a telephone conversation with Ukraine's foreign minister, who informed him about discussions related to Moscow and Kyiv. In the Ukrainian minister's assessment, no significant breakthrough occurred in negotiations between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, the aggressor state, or in the peace process in general.
