The Pentagon chief announced a large-scale strike against Iran
U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hagset announced preparations for the largest strike against Iran since the start of the war and reported significant damage to Iranian military infrastructure.
According to him, U.S. forces have already struck more than 7,000 targets within Iran, including military infrastructure facilities.
Hegset emphasized that for decades, Iran has invested resources not in the development of its people, but in the creation of missiles, drones, proxy forces, and underground facilities.
“We will hunt them down—methodically, relentlessly, and with overwhelming force, as no other army in the world is capable of doing,” the Pentagon chief stated.
He emphasized that the U.S. intends to continue increasing pressure on Iran as part of the military campaign.
During a campaign rally in Hebron, Kentucky, U.S. President Donald Trump shared behind-the-scenes details of the military campaign’s planning.
Recall that Trump stated that the war with Iran could end soon.
Trump also warned Iran of “unprecedented consequences” for mining the Strait of Hormuz.
