India calls at UN for two-state solution in Middle East — Anadolu Agency
Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said on September 27 during the UN General Assembly in New York, United States, that a two-state solution is necessary for lasting peace in the Middle East. India also called on the parties to the conflict in the region to exercise restraint, Anadolu Agency reports.
Assistance to Palestinians
According to Jaishankar, tensions and violence in the Middle East continue amid Israel's war in Gaza. He stressed that a strong and lasting peace requires a two-state solution.
India's top diplomat also said that India is contributing to humanitarian aid and measures to support the Palestinian population.
Jaishankar condemned attacks on commercial vessels and seafarers in the gulf, as well as on the route from the Red Sea to the Black Sea. According to him, Indian seafarers and citizens of other countries have been killed in such attacks. He stated that the security of shipping and seafarers must not be put at risk.

Russia's war against Ukraine and artificial intelligence
Speaking about the war of the Russian Federation — an aggressor state — against Ukraine, Jaishankar called the protracted war no less alarming. He noted that India supports current initiatives to achieve peace and is ready to do everything possible to improve the situation, including on food and energy security.
Separately, the minister called artificial intelligence a factor capable of contributing to expanding people's opportunities, economic prosperity and addressing large-scale problems. According to him, every country has the right to independently shape its AI ecosystem, develop its own models and strategies for their use in accordance with national goals and priorities.
Jaishankar also stated that the world is moving toward multipolarity, while the order formed after 1945 is giving way to new realities. In his view, the need for reformed multilateral cooperation is growing under such conditions.
