Iran says it seized US underwater drone in Strait of Hormuz — Anadolu Agency
In Iran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said its naval forces had seized a US Remus 600 underwater drone in the Strait of Hormuz. Anadolu Agency reports, citing Iranian state television IRIB.

In a statement, the Iranian military described the Remus 600 as an advanced unmanned underwater vehicle. According to the Corps, the drone is in the possession of its specialists to obtain information.

The Corps also said that the Strait of Hormuz is closed. The Iranian military reported “decisive and continuous actions” against dangerous maneuvers and unauthorized passage through the strait.
Diplomatic activity
The report came amid diplomatic activity regarding the resumption of shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. According to the agency, Tehran closed the important sea route in response to US-Israeli attacks in February and the maritime blockade of Iran.
