At least two Iranian tankers managed to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, likely using a detour to bypass U.S. controls.
This is according to Bloomberg.
According to tracking systems, the vessels took an unusual route—through the Gulf of Oman and near Iranian islands, including Larak and Qeshm.
Other vessels have also used a similar route, although overall traffic through the strait has decreased significantly.
The U.S. claims that the blockade remains effective and that some ships were forced to change course, while Iran insists that certain tankers were able to pass through.
Experts note that the situation is complicated by electronic jamming and the deactivation of transponders, making it difficult to fully track vessel movements.
