Israel issues orders to remove trees on Palestinian land — Anadolu Agency
Israel has issued three military orders for the removal of wild vegetation and the uprooting of trees on 339 dunams of Palestinian land in Palestine, in the occupied West Bank. This was reported by Anadolu Agency, citing the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission.
Orders in Jenin and Qabatiya
The first order concerns 178.71 dunams of land in Jenin and Qabatiya in the northern West Bank. It provides for the removal of wild vegetation and olive trees. Landowners were given seven days to file objections, but according to the commission, this period begins after the measure is carried out rather than before it.
The second order covers another 128.77 dunams in Jenin and Qabatiya. Landowners were given 12 hours to remove vegetation and olive trees. The same 12-hour period, the commission said, was set for filing objections after an inspection of the area.

Plots in Beit Rima
The third military order concerns two plots in the town of Beit Rima in the Ramallah and Al-Bireh Governorate, measuring 15.137 and 16.401 dunams, for a total of 31.538 dunams. About 10 dunams of this area overlap with land classified as Area B under the Oslo Accords.
The order provides for the removal of wild vegetation, olive trees and other trees. According to the commission, maps attached to the documents indicate that the orders cover adjacent tracts of agricultural land. The commission also called for monitoring to determine the number of trees affected by the orders, identify property within their boundaries and assess the impact on Palestinians' access to land.
Before the olive harvest season
The orders were issued ahead of the olive harvest season, which in Palestinian cities and villages usually begins after mid-October. Last month, the Israeli army had already issued orders to remove trees and vegetation on about 310 dunams of land in the Jenin Governorate, the Palestinian agency Wafa reported.
