China has announced the topics for its talks with Putin; Ukraine is not on the list
Ahead of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s visit to Beijing, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced that the two sides would discuss bilateral cooperation and international issues of mutual interest. However, Ukraine was not mentioned in the official list of topics. The Kremlin has high expectations for the meeting in Beijing, but Beijing’s stance indicates caution in public statements and a reluctance to directly raise the Ukrainian issue.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Gao Jiaqun stated that the upcoming trip will mark Putin’s 25th visit to China.
According to him, during the meeting, the leaders of China and Russia plan to discuss bilateral relations, cooperation in various fields, as well as international and regional issues.
Beijing noted that the talks will cover topics of “mutual interest” to both countries.
However, the Chinese side did not mention Ukraine directly.
