The U.S. military has denied claims that Iran shot down an F-15 fighter jet
U.S. Central Command has officially denied reports of any U.S. aircraft being lost since the escalation in the Middle East began. The agency’s press office announced this on March 23, 2026, calling the Iranian claim that an F-15 fighter jet had been shot down over Iranian territory a complete fabrication.
According to published data, during the large-scale military operation “Epic Fury,” the U.S. Air Force conducted over 8,000 combat sorties. Despite the intensity of the conflict and earlier rumors about the first-ever downing of another fighter jet, the F-35, the U.S. command emphasizes that no aircraft was shot down by Iranian air defense forces.
This statement came amid Iran’s ballistic missile launches toward Diego Garcia and the threat of blocking the Strait of Hormuz, which is being financed through Tehran’s close cooperation with Russia. While the U.S. spends billions on operations in the region, Ukraine continues to strengthen its own defenses with German Strila interceptor drones and combat the recruitment activities of enemy special networks on social media. The situation in the Middle East remains tense, but Washington retains full control over the airspace in the conflict zone.
We previously reported that Iran shot down an American F-35 fighter jet for the first time.
The F-35 fighter jet was forced to make an emergency landing following a suspected strike by Iran.
