Comedian DKB calls former Ghanaian President John Mahama a professional comedian
In Ghana, comedian DKB spoke about a meeting with former President John Dramani Mahama, after which he called him a “professional comedian.” According to MyJoyOnline, the performer recalled the episode during the September SoHo Comedy Night, which was also a celebration of his birthday.
Protest and performance
According to DKB, in May 2015 he was one of the leaders of a demonstration against Mahama’s government. In October of the same year, the comedian performed for the President of Ghana and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia.

DKB said that he was nervous when he approached Mahama for a photograph because he had previously taken part in the protest. According to him, Mahama recognized him and joked about the comedian’s stage name: he suggested replacing the letter B with M to form DKM and said that people would then chase him for money.
The comedian’s impression
The comedian noted that they both laughed, and Mahama’s joke made a strong impression on him. DKB said that it was then that he realized Mahama was a “professional comedian” and a stand-up comedian. He also said he was surprised by Mahama’s ability to joke with him despite their political differences.
