EU countries have not made any new commitments to provide Ukraine with Patriot missiles — Callas
During their meeting on September 28, the defense ministers of the European Union member states did not make any new commitments regarding the supply of interceptor missiles for Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. This was reported by the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas.
She noted that no new agreements regarding the provision of interceptor missiles had been reached. Earlier, the head of EU diplomacy had emphasized that Ukraine needs more missiles for its air defense systems before winter sets in, and called on member states with relevant stockpiles to transfer them to Kyiv.
Kallas also reported that 1 billion euros of the 6.6 billion euros allocated to Ukraine from the European Peace Fund will be directed toward joint procurement.

For Ukraine’s energy system to get through this winter without problems, we need 100–120 Patriot missiles each month to protect it from Russian ballistic missiles.
The U.S. is prepared to allow Germany to transfer 10 interceptor missiles for the Patriot systems to Ukraine. These are MIM-104E GEM-T missiles with a total value of $29.6 million, which Berlin had previously purchased from the United States.
