Marine Le Pen, the leader of France’s far-right party, has officially announced that she will run in the presidential election. At the same time, she continues to appeal the court ruling in the case involving the misuse of European Union funds.

Le Pen spoke about her political plans in an interview with the French newspaper Le Parisien. She also stated that she has already decided on a candidate for prime minister should she win the election.

Marine Le Pen confirmed that she intends to run for the French presidency again. “I will be a candidate in the presidential election,” the politician said.

According to her, if she wins the election, the current leader of the National Rally party, Jordan Bardella, will become prime minister. “If the French people entrust me with leading the country, Jordan Bardella will become prime minister,” Le Pen noted.

At the same time, the politician continues her legal battle. She announced that she will file an appeal with France’s highest court after the Paris Court of Appeals upheld the ruling in the case regarding the misuse of European Union funds. Le Pen believes that filing the appeal temporarily suspends the enforcement of part of the sentence. As a reminder, the case concerns the use of European Parliament funds. French courts concluded that the EU money was misused. Le Pen herself denies all charges and insists that the case is politically motivated. Despite the legal proceedings, Marine Le Pen remains one of France’s most prominent female politicians and has run for president on multiple occasions. She has now officially confirmed her intention to run for the presidency once again.

In the near future, the political struggle in France may intensify even further, as the presidential campaign gradually gains momentum and Le Pen remains one of the key figures in the upcoming race. This was reported by Le Parisien.
