Macron has instructed the government to revise the bill banning social media for children
French President Emmanuel Macron has instructed Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu to draft a new, legally sound version of the bill banning children under 15 from using social media by spring 2027. This decision was made after the previous version of the bill was ruled unconstitutional.
The new wording of the initiative must take into account the Constitutional Council’s ruling and European standards, while the head of state’s determination to see the reform through remains unwavering.
