The Paris Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation following a cyberattack on the French tax authority’s platform, which may have resulted in the theft of data from 678,000 users.

Hackers gained access to information on taxable income, family allowances, and taxes withheld from individuals’ income. For businesses, data on SIREN numbers, addresses, and representatives may have been compromised.
