Medvedev threatened EU countries with new strikes and said that was just the tip of the iceberg

Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, made another series of aggressive statements directed at European Union countries following reports that a Russian drone had crashed into a residential building in the Romanian city of Galați.

This was reported by Russian media.

In his post, Medvedev accused EU countries of allegedly direct involvement in the war against Russia and reacted sharply to criticism of the drone incident on Romanian territory.

He claimed that European states are supplying Ukraine with drones, weapons, and intelligence data used to strike Russian territory.

Separately, Medvedev blamed European politicians for attacks on targets in the occupied territories of Ukraine and threatened further consequences for EU member states.

According to him, similar incidents on EU territory may continue to occur. He also stated that residents of European countries would allegedly be unable to “sleep peacefully,” especially in areas where companies involved in the production of drones for Ukraine are located.

Medvedev’s latest statements serve as yet another example of the Russian leadership’s escalating rhetoric toward Western countries and their support for Ukraine.

Romania explained why it did not intercept the Russian drone that struck a house.

During the Russian strike on the Odesa region on April 25, Russian drones were moving along the border with Romania. British aircraft patrolling Romanian airspace tracked their routes. Later, drone debris was found in Romania’s border areas.

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador over the incident involving a drone crash near the city of Galați.
