Modi and Merz reaffirm intention to strengthen cooperation
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz reaffirmed their intention to strengthen bilateral cooperation during a telephone conversation. They discussed progress in the strategic partnership between India and Germany, as well as regional and global developments of mutual interest.

The leaders agreed to continue close engagement to promote global peace, stability and prosperity. Modi and Merz also reaffirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation in trade and investment, advanced technologies, clean energy, defence, education and talent mobility.

This year, India and Germany are marking 75 years of diplomatic relations. The interlocutors noted the sustained momentum of high-level contacts between the two countries.
