Moldova reported 60 airspace violations by Russia
Since the start of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, 60 Russian and Iranian missiles and drones have illegally crossed Moldovan airspace. This was reported by the Moldovan Ministry of Defense.
According to military officials, the highest number of such incidents—21—was recorded in 2025. As of July 28, 2026, another 15 cases had been recorded.
The Ministry of Defense noted that drones flew over nearly all regions of the country, but the majority of violations occurred near the border with Ukraine.
In 28 cases, rocket and drone debris was found on Moldovan territory, and at least 12 incidents involved drones or their debris containing explosives.

As a reminder, the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has warned its citizens about heightened checks, interrogations lasting several hours, and instances of coercion to sign contracts with the Russian Ministry of Defense when attempting to enter Russian territory.
Moldova intends to use peace talks with Russia to reclaim Transnistria.
