Iranian Foreign Ministry says ties with India are important
According to The Hindu International, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that Tehran attaches great importance to its partnership with India. According to him, relations between the two countries are based on longstanding historical and civilizational ties.

Baghaei mentioned the recent meeting between Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. According to him, Pezeshkian met with Modi in Bishkek, and Iran highly values cooperation with India.

A few days before the BRICS summit, Baghaei also called Chabahar Port one of the issues in bilateral consultations between Iran and India. According to him, during such consultations, the sides usually discuss various issues, including the port, which is important for both countries.
