Rain and thunderstorms forecast in Cyprus, brief improvement expected on Friday — Cyprus Mail

Isolated rain showers and brief thunderstorms are forecast in Cyprus on Wednesday, mainly in the mountains and the east of the island. As Cyprus Mail reports, the morning will be mostly clear, although variable cloudiness is expected on the western coast.

Wednesday forecast

After midday, cloud cover will increase over mountainous areas and eastern Cyprus. Isolated precipitation and brief thunderstorms are possible there. Winds will blow from the southwest to northwest at 3 on the Beaufort scale, increasing to 4–5 during the day. The sea will be moderately rough.

Maximum air temperatures will reach 34°C inland, 32°C on the coast, and 24°C in the highest mountain areas. Clear weather will prevail overnight. Temperatures will drop to 19°C inland, 21°C on the coast, and 14°C in the highest mountain areas.

Cloudy weather with isolated rain and thunderstorms is expected in Cyprus on Thursday, primarily in mountainous areas and the east. Mostly clear weather is forecast on Friday, but cloud cover will increase again on Saturday. Temperatures will decrease slightly and remain close to the seasonal norm.
